Jeff E. Janca graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a BS in Biology and a BS in Psychology in 2005. He then moved to Montana to work with severely emotionally disturbed youth at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch while pursuing and completing his Master of Science in Psychology at Montana State University Billings in 2007. He attended the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 2018, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
Jeff E. Janca was admitted into the State Bar in 2018 and is licensed to practice in Montana. While at UND School of Law, Jeff also obtained his Indian Law Certification. Prior to attending law school, Jeff worked extensively in the mental health and corrections fields. He previously was a probation officer for the State of Montana and Federal Case Manager for Alternatives, Inc. Jeff also has experience as a licensed addictions counselor and worked with chemically dependent youth and adults prior to turning his attention to the law in 2015.
Jeff is originally from Lyons, Illinois – hence the name of the firm, blue-collar work ethic, and tenacity which this firm represents. While originally from Chicagoland, Jeff has called Billings home since 2005. He is a hockey enthusiast and plays on various Billings teams throughout the winter. Jeff also plays softball and golf in the summer and enjoys the outdoors and being on the water.
Jeff has practiced extensively in the areas of fiduciary litigation, estate planning, probate, and trust administration, real estate transactions and litigation, business formation and litigation, adult guardianships and conservatorships, along with many other projects. Jeff has practiced several times before the Montana Supreme Court and was trained and mentored by a nationally recognized estate planning and real estate guru.
